Privacy Policy

Effective 6 October 2026 · Last updated 6 October 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

Xerizen ("Xerizen", "the app", "we", "us") is an Android web browser developed and published by Nikolai Malinin, an individual developer. You can reach us at softmalinna@gmail.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and why.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Xerizen mobile app. It does not cover the third-party websites you open inside the browser — those sites have their own privacy practices, and what you do there is between you and them. Xerizen is a window to the web; it is not the author of the pages you visit.

3. Information the app handles

Stays on your device (we don't receive it)

Information we or our providers receive

What we do not collect

4. How we use information

5. Advertising

Xerizen shows ads through Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob may access your device's advertising ID (AAID) and share it with Google to select and measure ads. Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app shows a consent screen (Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalized advertising, and you can change your choice later.

You control the advertising ID in your device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset it or opt out of ad personalization at the OS level.

6. Our backend, analytics and push

The app connects to our own servers to fetch its configuration (which features and ad placements are active), to send the app-usage events described above, and to deliver notifications. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging solely as a delivery channel to wake the app for a notification; the notification content itself is handled by our own servers. We do not use Firebase to profile you.

7. Browsing data and cookies

When you browse, the WebView stores cookies and site data on your device so sites work as expected — these belong to the sites you visit, not to us. Xerizen's NoADS feature blocks many ad and tracker requests on the pages you load, which can reduce third-party tracking while you browse. You can clear cookies and site data, or enable "clear on exit", in Settings → Privacy.

8. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by:

9. Data retention

On-device data (history, tabs, cookies, settings) remains until you clear it or uninstall the app. Advertising and measurement data are retained by Google under its own policies. The app-usage and attribution data we receive are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above and then deleted or aggregated.

10. Your choices and rights

11. Children

Xerizen is a general-audience browser and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International transfers

Our providers (such as Google) operate globally, so information may be processed in countries other than yours, with appropriate safeguards where required by law.

13. Security

Traffic to our servers and to advertising and notification providers is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected here. Continuing to use Xerizen after an update means you accept the revised policy.
